Opera adds Ask.com search to its Web browser

Oslo, Norway — July 3, 2008

Opera today added Ask.com, a leading search engine, to the latest version of the Opera desktop browser, Opera 9.51.

Effective immediately, anyone using Opera 9.51 can utilize Ask.com’s powerful search engine in addition to the other search options the Opera desktop browser provides. This new desktop collaboration covers all global territories except China, Japan, Poland, Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States.

Opera 9.51 delivers your favorite Web sites faster and provides the highest level of safety available. Opera 9.51 is available as a free download from http://www.opera.com/.

According to a Yankee Group study published in January 2008, 76% of consumers use Internet search sites regularly in their daily lives.
